Last night, from my piled-up-of-junks closet I found this portrait of nio nio I did in 2002. It brought me back so many memories about her and buo buo (another dog of mine who passed away five years ago). We just moved to Florida from Singapore at the time. Doggies were so stressed and sick due to the long trip and fears and nervousness. They had a really bad bloody diarrhea, and looked so messed up. When they got better, I sent them to have a nice bath and grooming. This portrait was from a picture I took when they just got home from pet shop. Nio looked so happy and lively. I remember she was standing on the table at the balcony, looking at sunset and the nice view from our new home.

昨晚我在堆滿雜物的衣櫥裡，翻出了2002年幫妞妞畫的這張畫像。看著這畫，許多關於妞妞和小波的回憶，剎時湧上心頭。那年我們剛從新加坡搬到佛羅里達，因為長途旅行的勞頓、恐懼和壓力，他倆著實病了好一陣子，腹瀉並且拉血，總之一團糟。後來看過醫生，等他們病好了，我送他們去好好洗了個澡，整理一番。我記得那天他們洗完澡回來，妞妞站在陽台的桌子上，看著夕陽和新家外面的綠地，一臉精神奕奕。我幫她和小波拍了照片，這張畫像就是參考其中一張照片畫的。

好久遠的記憶了。

I did this quick sketch of Angel last night, just to try some new techniques. That’s when I recalled that I’ve had a portrait for Nio Nio. This sketch wasn’t finished. I realized that I probably should invest a nice truecolor  lamp so I can draw at nights and still get the colors right.

昨晚我在實驗一些新的技法，於是用很短的時間，畫了這隻叫天使的混種黃金獵犬。因為畫這幅圖畫，才讓我想起，我曾經幫妞妞畫過畫像（小波也有喔，是油畫）。這幅圖畫並未完成，因為我發現我實在需要投資一盞好的畫圖用的桌燈，如此我在晚上畫畫的時候，就不會有色差的問題，眼睛也會比較舒服。
